Will Biden’s Foreign Policy Messes Dominate Debate?
President Biden and former President Trump are set for their first 2024 presidential debate this Thursday. While Bidenomics is always on our minds, some say that foreign policy is sure to be a key topic as global conflicts stack up.
Just the News reported Trump aims to highlight his peacemaker image against Biden’s interventionist stance. He plans to criticize Biden for rising global tensions, citing his own administration’s diplomacy with North Korea, the Abraham Accords, and the 2020 Afghan withdrawal agreement. Trump’s camp argues Biden's actions have led to conflict, including the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and strained U.S.-Israel relations.

Biden’s handling of the issue has drawn criticism from both sides of the political spectrum, with many of his progressive detractors demanding he press Israel to limit civilian casualties and his Republican opponents insisting he hamstrung Jerusalem in its quest to eliminate Hamas. "What Biden is doing with respect to Israel is disgraceful," Trump said in May in response to Biden’s threat over the Rafah situation. "If any Jewish person voted for Joe Biden, they should be ashamed of themselves. He's totally abandoned Israel. I guess he feels good about it because he did it as a political decision.”
The article also noted that Trump blames Biden for the ongoing Ukraine conflict, asserting it wouldn't have happened under his leadership.
