Tucker Announces He’s Exclusively on Twitter
Yesterday former Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced that he’s bringing his show exclusively to Twitter. In the announcement he said:
"You can't have a free society if people aren't allowed to say what they think is true. Speech is the fundamental prerequisite for democracy. That's why it's enshrined in the first of our constitutional amendments.
"Amazingly, as of tonight, there aren't many platforms left that allow free speech. The last big one remaining in the world, the only one is Twitter, where we are now.
"Twitter has long served as the place where our national conversation incubates and develops. Twitter is not a partisan site, everybody's allowed here. And we think that's a good thing. And yet, for the most part, the news that you see analyzed on Twitter comes from media organizations that are themselves thinly disguised propaganda outlets. You see it on cable news, you talk about it on Twitter."
Grabien Founder Tom Elliott tweeted, “Interesting Tucker's taking his show to Twitter since everyone expected him to start his own network, or start producing the show on his website & selling subs. As he left a $100 million offer on the table, it seems his focus is more on making an impact than making money.”
So, how does one watch if not on Twitter or if on Twitter and not on a phone or computer? Elon Musk says it’s all “coming.” More from Elon here.
White House Bans ‘Oldest Continuously Published Daily Newspaper in the US’
Yesterday it was reported that the White House banned The New York Post from attending President Joe Biden's public event on Monday. The move comes as prosecutors weigh whether to criminally charge first son Hunter Biden for federal crimes. The email from the White House press office did not give any reason for the exclusion, but it was not due to “space limitations,” which have been used in the past to justify prescreening reporters into large presidential events. The Post has the fifth-largest news website by US readership and is the country’s second-most-read newspaper online
More from The Post Millennial:
Meanwhile, the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden could be concluded soon, as his legal team met with lawyers from the Department of Justice last month in Washington, which could be the final step before a charging decision.
Biden declined to take reporter questions on Friday and claimed he would host a “major news conference” that afternoon. This was a mere two days after House Republicans subpoenaed the FBI for a file that a whistleblower said alleged that Joe Biden took bribes.
Instead of the presser, Biden sat for an interview that evening with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, who asked, “While there’s no ties to you, your own son could be charged by your Department of Justice … how will that impact your presidency?”
