U.S. Military May Assist with Deportations
Breitbart reported President-elect Donald Trump plans to deploy military troops to aid in border security and mass deportation operations, as confirmed on his Truth Social platform. Trump supports using a state of emergency to execute a wide-scale deportation program, promising the largest in U.S. history. A Customs and Border Protection source noted Mexican government actions, such as limiting the use of the northbound “La Bestia” train system, have reduced crossings, easing preparations for the plan. The military’s role may include supporting Border Patrol agents, with ICE focusing on urban deportation efforts.
Many Border Patrol agents reportedly enthusiastically back the initiative. A Breitbart source said, “Our agents have suffered through four years of an open border and are looking forward to undoing the damage done. If that means moving throughout the country to get the job done, most say they are ready.”
BRIGHT Pun Gets Results
Obviously, after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court saw Tuesday’s BRIGHT headline (“The Pennsylvania Stealers”), they decided something had to be done to keep their state from being a laughingstock. The Hill reported, “The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday rebuked Democratic-controlled elections boards that counted undated and misdated mail ballots, siding with Republicans and reiterating that such votes are invalid.”
With a lead of 20,000 votes, it’s likely that Republican Dave McCormick will be the new Senator, unseating Democratic incumbent Bob Casey.
Justice for Laken Riley
The New York Post reported Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant and Tren de Aragua gang member, was sentenced to life without parole in Athens, Georgia, for the brutal murder of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley. Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial and was found guilty on all charges. Ibarra received two consecutive life sentences plus 27 years.
Proving once again that it’s the enemy of the people, the New York Times wrote in a headline about the sentencing:
Yes, because that’s a headline-worthy part of the story — Trump seized. The aspect of the case that makes the Left bitter is that it’s a national debate topic that lost them the election. They aren’t at all bitter about the circumstances that led to the murder. The case made national news because it highlighted the surge in violent crimes linked to illegal immigration.
Victim impact statements from Riley’s grieving family revealed their immense pain and loss. Riley’s mother, Allyson Phillips, called Ibarra a “sick, twisted, evil coward,” pleading for the harshest sentence. Her father, Jason Riley, spoke of his enduring grief and the fear his daughter must have felt in her final moments. The courtroom also viewed emotional footage of the family learning of Riley’s death. President-elect Donald Trump called for stricter border policies to prevent future tragedies.
The Post added:
President-elect Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform this afternoon about an hour after Laken Riley's killer was found guilty, saying in part, "Our hearts will always be with you."
"It is time to secure our Border and remove these criminals and thugs from our Country, so nothing like this can happen again," he wrote.
The Democrats’ Bud Light Moment
Bridget Phetasy argues in The Spectator that the Democratic Party’s declining appeal to men stems from two decades of hostility towards traditional masculinity, mirroring Bud Light’s infamous marketing misstep with Dylan Mulvaney. The “Bud Light moment” began when the brand alienated its core male demographic, losing significant market share—a parallel to the Democrats' cultural missteps.
More from Phetasy:
Reality remains undefeated and suddenly it reasserted itself. Yet in order to appeal to one of the two genders which now apparently exist again, Democratic organizers ended up falling back on clichéd stereotypes of what men are… because they actually have no idea.
The Democrats realized too late that they had Bud Lighted their brand. You can’t be openly hostile to men for two decades and expect to retain the male vote. And judging by Trump’s gains with both genders, you also can’t be incapable of defining what a woman is and expect women to believe you care about them, either.
Whether the left realizes it or not, the Bud Light moment was the beginning of the end of their long-standing grip on the culture. It lost them 23 percent of their market share and still hasn’t recovered. Trump’s recent win is more evidence. He won decisively, a collective middle finger from an America tired of being lectured. Hell, even the biggest bro at MEL magazine voted for him.
Americans Ready to Gather!
Reuters reported that Americans are poised to break Thanksgiving travel records, with nearly 80 million expected to journey by road, air, or sea, according to AAA. Air travel will see unprecedented numbers despite staffing and aircraft shortages, with major airlines like American, Delta, and United reporting millions of passengers booked. Reuters noted, “Travelers are paying more to travel domestically this year, with the average airfare priced at $273 as of the end of October, up 9% from last year, according to travel booking app Hopper. However, airfares for the holiday remain lower than in 2022 and pre-pandemic levels, the company said.”
Road trips will also hit a record, with 71.7 million travelers benefiting from falling gas prices. I’ll be one of them as we hit the road for a two-day drive to Arizona. I’ll miss the Texas gas prices the most!
Dinner and a Movie
This weekend’s movie is Scent of a Woman. I’ve been assured that it is a Thanksgiving movie!
Dinner will be on the road but I’m already thinking ahead to Thanksgiving. A fun post from last year:
