Soros Wants Control of Radio Airwaves
Fox News reported that Rep. Chip Roy of Texas expressed concern over George Soros’ hedge fund's acquisition of Audacy, the second-largest radio station owner in the U.S., by holding over $400 million of its debt. Rep. Roy said Soros of attempting to expedite FCC approval for the ownership change without proper scrutiny. He wrote, “This transaction, which affects radio stations that reach millions of listeners across the U.S., including in Texas’ 21st congressional district, should — at minimum — be subject to rigorous FCC oversight to ensure U.S. radio stations are not subject to undue influence.”
Soros’ firm became Audacy's largest shareholder last month after its bankruptcy filing. Rep. Roy questioned the firm’s request for exemption from FCC rules limiting foreign ownership to 25%, potentially allowing Soros to quickly gain control of hundreds of local radio stations. Audacy's restructuring deal awaits final FCC approval.
Michael Schwarz of Western Journal wrote:
Soros-affiliated groups, of course, have poured millions of dollars into down-ballot elections. Democrat district attorneys in cities across the country, for instance, have benefited from Soros largesse.
Soros also has a taste for authoritarianism, as all globalists do.
Some globalists, like the dour-looking Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the sinister World Economic Forum, come straight from central casting. Others, like the dopey software-monopolist-turned-phony-medical-expert Bill Gates, look deceptively harmless.
On at least one level, however, Schwab and Gates pose fewer threats to freedom, for we can see them coming. We recognize their absurd pretensions to global control. And, most important of all, we imagine them operating at a distance.
But Soros’ slimy influence reaches into local communities. It oozes beneath the doors of soft-on-crime district attorneys’ offices. And now, perhaps, it will pollute radio airwaves.
