Oval Office Showdown
In a tense Oval Office meeting, President Trump confronted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa with claims of a white genocide against white farmers. The New York Post reported that the lights were dimmed to show a video featuring inflammatory rhetoric and a memorial for murdered farmers. Trump also criticized the country’s new land confiscation law.

He slammed South Africa for a law signed by the president in 2023 enabling the government to “seize ethnic-minority Afrikaners’ agricultural property without compensation.”
“You’re taking people’s land away from them, and those people in many cases are being executed … how do you explain that?” Trump asked.
Ramaphosa denied the claims, stating the government opposes such actions and the rhetoric shown is not official policy.
