Musk Offers to Help Victims of Workplace Cancel Culture
It was announced that Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter) social media platform will financially support and litigate for users treated unfairly by employers over posts or likes. The offer includes full funding for legal bills and promises robust legal action against company boards. On Saturday, he tweeted, “If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill. No limit. Please let us know.”
Twitchy asks if this will be a turning point in the cancel culture war:
But maybe now that Musk is offering to pay the legal fees of those unfairly treated by employers over something they tweeted, retweeted, liked, etc. on Twitter, that could change. Maybe? Hopefully? PLEASE social media gods? Could this be a death blow to the woke mob? Dare we DREAM?!
CNBC reported that this comes as X experiences user growth and strives to boost ad revenue, amidst changes and competition in the social media landscape. Musk aims to enhance X's status as an “everything app” while addressing financial challenges and a decline in advertising income.
