Majority of Democrats Say Congress Shouldn’t Certify a 2024 Trump Win
A Rasmussen Reports poll, sponsored by The National Pulse, revealed that 57% of likely Democrat voters support Congress refusing to certify a Donald Trump victory in the 2024 election, citing his alleged role in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots.
More from The National Pulse:
Almost two-thirds of self-identified “liberals” said they wanted Democrats to refuse certification, despite the left and corporate media meltdown over 2020’s electoral certification objections by Republicans. Black Americans also appear to favor the move, with 59 percent backing the recently mooted idea of blocking a second Trump term via Congress.
Republicans are overwhelmingly opposed to the idea, though 35 percent of all U.S. likely voters appear to support the proposed effort.
Only 24 percent of Democrats in the same survey said Republicans should have objected to the 2020 results if they believed they were fraudulent.
Of the “Insurrectionist Democrats,” Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner wrote, “While it is somewhat ironic that Democrats would be OK doing what some Republican lawmakers planned to do in the certification vote of Biden, Democrats have rolled out that strategy in the past.”
