Hunter Goes to Court
Nope, not for all that other stuff.
Yesterday, Hunter Biden appeared in an Arkansas court for a hearing in the child support case of his 4-year-old daughter. The mother, Lunden Roberts, had reached an agreement with Biden for paternity and child support payments. However, the case was reopened when he requested adjustments. Biden is reportedly paying $20,000 a month to the mother. The judge set deadlines for discovery and depositions, and criticized the Biden team for abusing the ability to redact information related to the case.

Barbie with Down Syndrome Affirms Life
The Guardian reported that Barbie has launched its first doll with Down syndrome, partnering with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to bring the product to market. The move was welcomed by charities and the doll's design was informed by consultations with the NDSS and medical professionals, with features like a shorter frame and longer torso. The doll's pendant necklace features three upward chevrons. The Guardian noted, “The chevrons, or arrows, represent ‘the Lucky Few’ who have someone with [Down syndrome] in their life.”
It’s unfortunate that this incredibly life-affirming culture moment was overshadowed by other events. This article on Ian Haworth at Washington Examiner on the matter is worth reading in full:
Not only is this rage click-seeking shock jock response callous, ignorant, and entirely unnecessary, but there’s a deeper layer here that must be acknowledged if conservatives are to have any meaningful hope for winning the culture war they claim to care so much about.
The release of a Barbie with Down syndrome is a win for a conservative culture.
Why? Because it actively humanizes a group of human beings who are currently the target of a resurgent eugenics movement within the pro-abortion camp, which would prefer to abort every supposedly unwanted person with Down syndrome before birth.
With its new Barbie, Mattel is essentially debunking the horrific view that people with Down syndrome are not valid humans who deserve the right to life. Broadening the options for children in the doll market is hardly a nefarious consequence of mindless diversity and inclusion initiatives, especially when they add humanity to an otherwise ignored group of people.
