Harris-Walz Campaign Makes a Play for Black Men

Fox News reported that Vice President Kamala Harris has unveiled a new “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men” aimed at improving their financial and career prospects. No word on where this plan has been the last couple of years. This initiative includes forgivable loans for Black entrepreneurs, education and mentorship programs, health equity efforts addressing diseases like diabetes and mental health, and pathways to enter industries like recreational marijuana. The agenda comes amid concerns about a decline in support from Black men for Harris, as polls show gains for former President Trump among this key demographic.

Fox News added, “To help spread the message, the Harris campaign said it is teaming up this week with Black male celebrities, influencers and activists in key battleground states this week for ‘Black Men Huddle Up’ events. The campaign spotlights that it's also enlisting the support of influential entrepreneurs for what it calls an ‘Economic Freedom Talk’ series with Black business owners.”

While no one’s vote should be taken for granted, it certainly does project the message that polling for Democrats is not going well.
