The Daily Signal reported the Department of Homeland Security placed two Customs and Border Protection officers on administrative leave following the recent deadly shooting in Minneapolis involving Alex Pretti. Officials say the move is standard protocol as the investigation proceeds.
Additionally, new video that appears to be Pretti was released yesterday. The New York Post wrote:
Harrowing new footage appears to show Alex Pretti spitting at ICE agents and smashing the taillights of their black SUV during a chaotic confrontation more than a week before he was fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis.
The video, which the BBC said it has verified, apparently captured the ICU nurse screaming at a federal agents while they were driving away during a heated Jan. 13 protest before kicking the back of the car, prompting officers to exit and tackle him to the ground, according to The News Movement.
This morning on X, Greg Gutfeld commented, “What's missing in the video of Pretti spitting on agent and smashing SUV'S brake lights? The police arresting him for unlawful acts like assault, which would have altered future events. His family will have quite a lawsuit against the city, the mayor and the state.”
