Biden Bashes Trump on Labor Day
President Biden took a break from vacation to use his Labor Day speech in Philadelphia to criticize former President Trump's job record, highlighting job creation and pension protections during his own tenure. The Hill reported that he said, “The guy who held this job before me was just one of two presidents in history … left office with fewer jobs in America than when he got elected office.”
He emphasized deficit reduction and called for the wealthy and corporations to pay their fair share of taxes. Biden also mentioned his age, touting his experience and wisdom. Of course, Trump still remains popular among GOP voters, setting the stage for a possible rematch in 2024.
At the speech, Biden reaffirmed his pro-union stance and called for the passage of the PRO Act. He addressed allegations of being on vacation.
From The Hill:
Biden traveled to Philadelphia from his beach house in Rehoboth, Del., following accusations that he is on vacation while he is at that home. He told reporters his main residence in Wilmington, Del., is undergoing renovation to “make it secure,” adding he is “not on vacation.”
Isn’t there somewhere else he can work from home? 🤔
I do sympathize though: Survey ranks DC as one of the least desirable places to live (WUSA)
