Best American-Made Gifts for Christmas 2023
Skincare, Clothing, Crafts, Yard Games, Cookware, and More!
BRIGHT friends, in this week’s Christmas gift guide I’m putting the spotlight on companies — big and small — that sell products that are made in America.
Share your favorite American-made companies in the comments!
Coola Skincare
It’s surprisingly hard to find skincare products made in the USA, so I was excited to learn that Coola products I already like are American-made. The Refreshing Water line is great and not overly-scented. I don’t know if the “de-stress digital technology” really works, but it sure sounds good for the person you know who could use some down time!
The Wellness Company
The Wellness Company has many supplement products and all are made in the U.S. I have been using Z Stack and Z Detox supplements for years. They have many other great products, including Emergency Medical Kits that make a fantastic family gift. If your guy has a go-bag but doesn’t have this, he’s missing out. When I reached out to them about this post dedicated to American-made products to confirm, they offered BRIGHT readers 10% off with code BRIGHT!
Mario Badescu Skincare
Similarly, while researching skin care brands I found that another one I already love is American-made! Mario Badescu is known for toners, but they have a variety of gift sets.
L.L. Bean’s Made in the USA Products
L.L. Bean is is a good recource because it has a section specifically for USA products and is based in Freeport, Maine. I love these old-school outdoor games like horseshoes and croquet. As winter comes near, the Merino wool socks will be appreciated. Finally, anyone could use of their iconic canvas totes.
Li-Lac Chocolates
My favorite chocolate company! They’ve been around over 100 years and have a ton of classic, molded chocolates, as well as new ones. My favorites include Butter Crunch, Marzipan Rolls, Peanut Butter, and Hazelnut Truffle Bars. They also have a lot of sugar-free and dairy-free options. Everything is handmade and delicious.
American Giant
American Giant is the anti-fast fashion option for basics like t-shirts, cozy sweats, and more. Check out their gift guide for everyone. You can’t beat their motto — Make Better Things.
Imogene + Willie
This Nashville-based store is a great find if you’re looking for unique clothing and accessories. My boyfriend is a big fan of their t-shirts. They’re soft and have cool graphics. Some of the clothing can be pricey, so also check out their Gifts Under $50 section.
Kershaw Pocket Knives
When I asked my boyfriend for gift ideas for guys, he suggested a Kershaw pocket knife. It’s a great gift for anyone — I keep one in my car! This 3.4 inch stainless steel blade with pocket clip is a good one.
Weber Grills
Update someone’s grill situation with a Weber grill or Weber accessories. Most Weber grills are made in Palatine, Illinois (though some gas grills are made overseas). The Weber Original Kettle Premium Charcoal Grill is highly-rated and perfect for the charcoal-beginner. For an experienced griller, check out the Weber smoker.
Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
Lodge is based in South Pittsburg, Tennessee and was founded in 1896. Everyone needs a classic 12-inch skillet. If someone already has a favorite skillet, try this dutch oven. They also have a new modern line called Lodge Bold. Think Le Creuset but affordable and USA-born, baby. Combine with a cast iron cookbook because cast iron cooking is more than steak and corn bread! I received Skillet Love for Christmas last year and I’m dying to try the pizza made in cast iron.
Nordic Ware
Yep, they have a US factory! I mentioned this company in my Black Friday gift guide. For something festive, check out their holiday items. A fun Nordic Ware pan paired with an uncommon ingredient like vanilla bean or a cake mix makes a perfect hostess gift.
Lasko Fans
Lasko Fans have plants in Texas, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. It should be noted that some parts for some of the models come from overseas, but all are assembled in the USA. This model that includes a remote and nighttime setting is perfect for the person who always has an eye on the thermostat.
Furvever Paintings
I don’t know where individual items are made, but if made by an American pet that counts, right? I have done Furever Paintings many times with friends’ dogs and they love it. It’s an activity and custom artwork they’ll have forever. You can either give the kit, the finished product, or both! You can customize the colors to match home décor, favorite sports team, or another piece of artwork in the house. Also, shipping is free for the holidays!
Modish on Etsy
I learned about this shop from BRIGHT reader Janice last year. This store has unique seed bead earrings. I really love this pair of cactus earrings!
iCustomLabel on Etsy
There are lots of shops that do customized cutting boards and other wood products. I love the idea of getting a favorite family recipe engraved on a serving board.
Celeste and Bloom
These paint by number kits sold on Etsy are so unique! They are simple and have a modern look. It would be a fun gift to give someone you want to spend more time with in 2024. Get a couple and plan a day. Even if they don’t turn out the way you hoped, it will be a great day spent together.
