BRIGHT readers, you know I gravitate toward Amazon, Target, and other big retailers for convenience. In this week’s Christmas gift guide, I thought I’d highlight some companies — big and small — that sell products that are made in America. Many are available at convenient retailers like the above, but some are on Etsy and available through the company’s website.
Please share your favorite American-made companies in the comments!
Weber Grills
Update someone’s grill situation with a Weber grill or Weber accessories. Most Weber grills are made in Palatine, Illinois (though some gas grills are made overseas). The Weber Original Kettle Premium Charcoal Grill is highly-rated and perfect for the charcoal-beginner. For an experienced griller, check out the Weber smoker. Target has a variety of Weber products and I’ve been very happy with their shipping lately.
L.L. Bean’s Made in the USA Products
While we wait for other companies (AMAZON, PLEASE!) to allow sorting by where a product is made, L.L. Bean is a good place to start. The company is based in Freeport, Maine. I love these old-school outdoor games like horseshoes and croquet. As winter comes near, the Merino wool socks will be appreciated.
Imogene + Willie
This Nashville-based store is a great find if you’re looking for unique clothing and accessories. My boyfriend is a big fan of their t-shirts. They’re soft and have cool graphics. Some of the clothing can be pricey, so check out their Gifts Under $50 section.
