Americans Digging DOGE Takedowns
Townhall highlighted the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and their success so far in uncovering wasteful government spending across multiple agencies, leading to significant cuts and reforms. Most notably, USAID has faced scrutiny for funding controversial projects, such as “diversity” initiatives and support for illegal immigrants, with its Inspector General fired amid restructuring.
FEMA was exposed for illegally allocating $59 million for housing illegal immigrants in luxury hotels, while hurricane survivors struggled. DOGE also cut funding for a Fauci museum exhibit, dismantled the ineffective Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and terminated LGBTQIA+ refugee grants in Greece. Education Department contracts worth $881 million were canceled, targeting DEI and virtual learning projects, while the EPA slashed $45 million in DEI initiatives and a $50 million pro-Palestine environmental grant.
And they’ve only just begun!
So, how do Americans feel about these developments? Recent polls reveal strong public support for Trump’s agenda, including mass deportations, energy expansion, and addressing the border crisis. The Left’s hysterics about DOGE isn’t working. Townhall also reported, “ABC News’ Jon Karl noted that Trump was at the height of his power, as every significant policy action item for the Trump administration had a public mandate. On mass deportations, acknowledging that there are only two genders, expanding oil and gas production, and declaring the southern border crisis an emergency—all are supported by 60 percent of the American people.”
